Class begins with team discussions for defining issues associated project contracts. Consensus will be extrapolated into an affinity diagram to which course content will be referred to as the class goes along. All knowledge delivered will highlight the practicality rather than theoretical understanding. Throughout the class,
the consultant will lead the discussion of various issues over contract management life cycle and use real-life examples and experience sharing to facilitate learning. Participants in pre-arranged teams will select real project to work on case studies for contract awarding, customer-contractor interface management, and closing. In a structured way, participants will get familiar to forms, types, legal requirements of contracts, and keep in mind of the key success factors for selecting the type of contract. By design, the class handout is in English and the consultant will conduct the class in both English and Chinese mixed to help participants learning international contract management practice. JMAC consulting group will submit within a month after class the service report that contains recommended actions for effective follow-through with continuous consultation service.
